Hiking to top of Highland Bowl-Aspen

My passions are Mountain Biking, Skiing, Photography, and am very fortunate to have a wonderful wife, two daughters I am very proud of and four fantastic grandchildren.

I live an active life and take great pleasure in recording my little adventures in photographs which I plan to post some here. Please feel free to comment.

  2. Hi Rick – I love your blog!

I’m a national newspaper journalist in England who is part of a group putting together a new ‘extreme’ outdoor sports and travel website. The site is also an environmental and social and enterprising in design.

As I’m putting together articles and sourcing videos and photos at the moment, I was wondering whether there was any chance of you submitting some copy for us on mountain biking? I can obviously credit you and send you a link to the site when it’s up?

Maybe you would like to submit things on a regular basis further down the line?

We believe we will have a lot of people visiting the site when it is ready and have people contributing from all over the world so our reach should be quite large.

Any help you can give us would be great.

    Many thanks for reading

Hello Rick! This is Erin, one if the riders you met at White Clay Creek State Park this weekend.Mike and I were so happy to meet you and your wife and we hope you had a great time in our little state. Maybe our paths will cross again, in the mean time I will be enjoying your photography skills on this blog.

  4. Hi Rick,

I am putting together a little tour app of Belle Isle (for fun, not profit). May I use your photo of the Conservatory taken from the Koi pond? Thanks! ~ Tony

    • Tony,
Glad you liked the photo. Yes, please feel free to use my photo of the conservatory on Belle Isle. I would like to see your tour app when you have it ready. Please write and let me know how to find it.
I have not posted much lately on Word Press but was on Belle Isle a week ago and have some more photos I will be posting which will include a couple more of the conservatory.

      Rick

      • Thanks a lot, Rick. I’ll post the details here when it’s good to go (hopefully in a few weeks). The Grand Prix kinda puts a stick in the wheel, though. With the closed off roads, some points of interest will be a challenge to access. You’d think they’d have it down to a two week closure by now. 6 weeks last year for a 2 day event. 😦

  5. Did I actually say a few weeks? 🙂 The audio guide is finally live. Details, along with download links, are at http://www.DetroitsBelleIsle.com. Let me know what you think.

    Thanks again! ~ Tony

  6. Hey Rick! Metro Times is asking to use the same photo in a story about the app (I sent it to them as an image idea). Are you good with that?

    Tony
